About Us

Hi there! My name is Sam Hess and I’m the proud owner of Grow Modern AV. I’ve got to admit, I am passionate about what we do here. Every time I receive a call from a customer asking for a quote, I get all excited. If I seem intense about this, well, you’re correct!

“It all started by accident, I had no idea that you could turn on lights with your iPhone. But as soon as I found out, I was hooked! A good friend of mine works as an Interior Designer, she showed me the wonders of automation on her projects. I was immediately inspired.

If you were to ask me what my dream job was back then, I’d say woodworking, a skateboarder, or a clothing designer. And you know what, those interests are still very much a part of my life today. In fact, I hope to one day have the time to make my own clothes Remodel a home or build some cool furniture.

And last but not least, I’m a proud dog dad to my nearly 2-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer named Spot. He loves eating, watching others eat, playing basketball and soccer ( no joke ) and of course, napping. Having Spot in my life has been a wonderful change and I’m always more than happy to share stories and pictures of him.
